A recent back-up singer of Coheed and Cambria and the former drummer have collaborated with some other incredibly talented musicians to create some of the best music I've heard in a looooooooong time.

If you appreciate the lyrical stylings of Adele and Amy Winehouse, you will be equally impressed with Halina Larsson.  Seriously do yourself a favor and look this band up.

George Clinton and the P Funk All-Stars

George Clinton and the P Funk All-Stars played a set at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington to commemorate the fact that there will soon be a National Museum of African American History and Culture on the mall.  One of the items that will be on display is the Mothership that toured in the 1990's.  One of the guest singers, Mary Griffin, blew my mind.  So amazing.  Great show all-in-all!
