Prima Donna
I did some promos for these guys back in 2007 and was stoked to have the chance to do some more at their recent DC show at Black Cat. Their sound is strong - and unique. I don't know of anyone who sounds like them right now. Although everyone was in the bar area when they walked out to the stage, the room they played was filled before the end of the first song.
Green Day recognizes their uniqueness and has already taken them out for a European tour. It's about time that the rest of the music industry catches on.

Cancer Bats
Why, YES, there ARE a bazillion pix of the band in this posting. Why? Because they RULE. Well... and then there's that whole school-girl crush I have on Liam.
But seriously. This band rocks. Hard. Give one of their CDs a listen. You'll have it on repeat for days.
